Goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini spoke to Dazn after Roma -Cagliari . The Giallorossi goalkeeper had his say on the recent match, also focusing on the impact of young player Emanuele Lulli on the team . Here are his comments.
How important are these three points, especially considering the many matches played and some difficulties in terms of brilliance?
“Absolutely. These are important points that allow us to be there. I'm playing a lot of games, it's not easy, and every now and then I can feel a bit lacking in brilliance, that's obvious. But strong teams, solid teams with important goals, manage to get points and win even when they don't play well. We've managed to take away a point that was worth a win, today we managed to take away three, so that's important. This group is also giving itself a lot of answers, right? Everyone is always at their best, and even when they can't play the most sparkling football they know how to play, they manage to get home results, play tough games, and never give up. So that's a great thing and a great credit to us.”

Gollini: "Lulli? He has great talent."
Were you expecting a Lulli like this?
“But I saw him in training camp, and we all thought he had great athleticism. Then we said many times that the quality of the choices he makes when he gets to the end will make the difference in his career, between being a Serie A player and being a very good player. That's up to him; he'll have to learn to make the right choices. Now he's also learning to throw himself into the mix. He has great skills and is a great guy, he has a good head on his shoulders. Every now and then I have to call him back to defend because he likes attacking a bit more, but he's good, he has a lot to improve, he's a super humble guy, so I'm sure he'll have a great career.”
How are you experiencing this opportunity to play regularly after a period in which you found little space?
“Yes, absolutely. As I said, I obviously haven't played much in recent years, but I see myself in training, my teammates see me, so obviously football is a world that moves incredibly fast. Maybe you don't play much for six months, you don't do anything, and it seems like you're dead, right? You're finished. But when you work every day, you know what you're doing, and even though I haven't played, I've always been in a team, in a top-level environment, with great players, so I've always known my value. Obviously, you need the chance to play and show it. So I'm happy to have this opportunity now, although I obviously feel sorry for Svilar, who we'll all be extremely happy to embrace when he returns. And the important thing is to move forward and, as I said, do the best for this team because we're having a great year in many respects, so we need to keep going.”
