Udinese coach Kosta Runjaic spoke at a press conference on the eve of Udinese-Roma , scheduled for Saturday at 6:00 PM in Udine. His words on the Giallorossi: " Tomorrow we play against Roma, who are a team in form , have been for a long time, and are doing very well. They are proving to be at a very high level, they are fighting for the championship and have objectives at international level ."
And again: “They're strong, but last year against Roma we played two good games. They're a tough opponent, and they'll come here without changing their style of play. We'll have to approach the duels with the right intensity. You can't start against top teams without hope . It will be the third game of the week. In Parma we took a step forward, getting a point that's important, especially for our mental health. We came away from the pitch with something to gain. We put in a solid performance, but considering the circumstances, we need to work on this path.”
Runjaic on Zaniolo
Runjaic then explained what Roma expects: "Roma haven't changed much from last year, they're strong and we know how Gasperini works . His teams play deep, they know how to play man-to-man, they're a complete team with great quality. We'll have to cooperate with each other and stay focused on the ball . We'll have less possession than Parma, but we have our own vision for the game and we'll try to implement the game plan."
And on the conditions of Zaniolo and Davis, he concludes: “Obviously, they're our key players, but the current situation isn't the usual one. They're irreplaceable players, but they're not 100% fit . With their quality, they can help us win games, and it's positive to have them available. I think we already saw against Parma how important they can be for us.”
