On one side, the best attack and a team undefeated since April in Serie A; on the other, players who haven't won in four consecutive games and who have recorded the best defense. Roma-Sassuolo is a match that seems already written.
After all, the Giallorossi are coming off a 2-0 defeat and are looking for answers against the Neroverdi. Man United's situation wasn't all that different from that of their next opponents: a manager at risk of dismissal and a seemingly endless crisis.
Gasperini restarts with his key players: Mati Soulé and Donyell Malen lead the attack. The aftermath of the third comeback mustn't affect the Giallorossi: the goal remains the three points.
Gasperini must choose his opponents against Sassuolo, on a day when Inter face Como and Napoli face Lazio. Aquilani will have to do without former player Christian Volpato and Domenico Berardi. The Grugliasco coach has clear ideas.
Today marks the end of the "after-the-break" series of matches that the Giallorossi coach so feared, and in which he had to do without so many top players. Malen and his teammates are eager to forget the "Theatre of Nightmares" night, and the defense is called upon to perform a show of strength after conceding 10 goals in four games.
