Alessandro Romano is shining with Cagliari. Born in 2006, now already making his second call-up to Roberto Mancini's Italy squad , he's a product of Roma's youth system. However, for budgetary reasons, the Giallorossi had to sell him. And the Sardinians, after trying in January, didn't wait two more times this summer.
Guido Angelozzi – currently Spezia's manager – spoke to Radiolina and gave a behind-the-scenes look at the negotiations with the Roman club : "At Cagliari, they're continuing down the path they laid out last year with a young, first-time coach. Romano had already been under management for a few years... Last year, we were close to signing him, but Massara didn't want to give him up completely. Cagliari have made a great signing. I congratulate the manager who signed him; he's a player with great potential. I'm happy he's arrived in Cagliari, both for him and for Pisilli. We were close to signing him in January, but it wasn't possible."
Pisilli is increasingly important at Roma, Romano shines at Cagliari
Niccolò Pisilli has become a player who has become part of the Roman side's rotation and has never left . With the two-time absence of Koné and Cristante, the number 61 has played several starts in midfield, and has impressed everyone, both with and without goals. His performance against Manchester United was lackluster, but one poor performance doesn't ruin a career spanning several years.
Romano, on the other hand, is increasingly important to Fabio Pisacane and is now a permanent fixture in midfield . The big names in the Italian league have set their sights on the 2006-born player: will Massara try to get his hands on the former Giallorossi talent again?

Wow, how many friends does this Massara have?
This Roman is really overrated
