Former Roma striker Luca Toni spoke about Donyell Malen and his performances during an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 2006 World Champion acknowledged the great qualities of the Dutch centre-forward, responding to Marco Borriello 's statements , according to which Kolo Muani would score even more with Gasperini on the bench.
Toni: “Malen is making a splash”
"Attackers score more or less the same goals everywhere. Malen is having a great run; he's shown personality right from the start. But I was a bigger goalscorer than him: Serie A used to be a different story. Only Zeman was able to multiply the strikers' goals," Toni declared in the columns of the Gazzetta dello Sport.
Malen , meanwhile, failed to score in Roma 's 3-0 win over Sassuolo , despite being involved in all three of their goals . The Dutchman also provided the assist for Rodrigo Mora 's goal , after wasting several chances in front of Muric.
