Daniele De Rossi 's Genoa team bounced back from a difficult start to the season, failing to win their first five games. Yesterday, they beat Spalletti's Juventus 2-0, who were helpless against goals from Ehizibue and Baldanzi.
The rossoblù team has climbed out of the relegation zone thanks to 3 wins in the last 4 league games (they only lost against Roma): 10 points in total, +5 from third-from-bottom place.
De Rossi: "It means a lot to me to have won against coaches like Spalletti and Gasperini."
After Genoa's 2-0 win over Juventus, Daniele De Rossi spoke to DAZN about the victory, also emphasizing the special significance of facing and overcoming top-class coaches: "I started thinking about doing this job very early, around 25 or 26. The older I got, the more my mind drifted toward this second career. Now I find myself challenging these giants, and it means a lot to me to have won against coaches like Spalletti and Gasperini. That said, the difference, especially tonight, was made by the players."
This year Roma won against De Rossi's Genoa but last year the Grifone, at home, had the upper hand (2-1) thanks to goals from Messias and Vitinha.
